It also contains many black and white illustrations as well as colour pictures evocative of the daily life of the nomads and villagers taken by David Attenborough during filming of the B.B.C. TV "Tribal Eye" programme of the same name. There are chapters on the history of the tribes, rug design influences and structure by leading English authorities. There is also a study, containing new research on many of the dyes once used by the tribes, by Professor Mark Whiting and Dr. John Harvey of the University of Bristol.…
