The data were studied, compared and submitted to statistical tests giving rise to tables. Positive feelings and favourable reactions were predominant. However, there are still negative situations that can be minimised, according to the interviewees, through more scientific knowledge and clinical experience of specific care for PwD. A reflection of the appreciation of this knowledge can be seen in the change in perception regarding the needs for a professional career in this speciality, which has become more of a training than a vocation. 52 pp. Englisch.

Dennoch gibt es immer noch negative Situationen, die nach Ansicht der Befragten durch mehr wissenschaftliche Kenntnisse und klinische Erfahrung in der spezifischen Betreuung von Menschen mit Behinderung minimiert werden können. Die Wertschätzung dieses Wissens spiegelt sich in der veränderten Wahrnehmung der Anforderungen an eine berufliche Laufbahn in diesem Fachgebiet wider, das eher zu einer Ausbildung als zu einer Berufung geworden ist.

Trata-se de um estudo longitudinal realizado no início e no fim do semestre através de questionário com 65 alunos do 9º per…íodo do Curso de Odontologia da UFPE. Os dados foram estudados, comparados e submetidos a testes estatísticos originando tabelas. Sentimentos positivos e reações favoráveis foram predominantes. Contudo, ainda persistem situações negativas que podem ser minimizadas segundo os entrevistados, através de mais conhecimento científico e estágios de vivência clínica de atendimento específicos para PcD. Reflexo da valorização deste conhecimento pode ser visto na mudança de percepção quanto às necessidades para a carreira profissional nessa especialidade que passou a ser mais capacitação do que vocação.

Tuttavia, ci sono ancora situazioni negative che possono essere minimizzate, secondo gli intervistati, attraverso una maggiore conoscenza scientifica e l'esperienza clinica di cure specifiche per le persone con disabilità. Un riflesso dell'apprezzamento di queste conoscenze può essere visto nel cambiamento di percezione riguardo alle necessità di una carriera professionale in questa specialità, che è diventata più una formazione che una vocazione.
