This copy is very good, with the pale grey/beige cloth boards just a little darkened on edges and spine panel. Edges and endpapers slightly brow…ned. A newspaper review of the book by Fred T. Marsh (probably from the New York Times Book Review) has been cut and pasted all over the front endpapers, and there are a also a couple of rubber stamps. Nicolas Bentley (illustrator).

Decorative marbled boards with gold lettering/raised banding/gold decoration to spine are very good with a little pushing/bumping to corners, a few small marks, the odd small bump/rub to edges, a few small scratches/scrapes to top surface and minor pushing/rubbing to head/tail of spine. Pages are generally clean and the binding is tight. Top edge of pages gilt. Pages bit tanned. First /last few pages tanned. Odd small mark/spot of foxing to page edges. Odd small mark/minor foxing to page bottoms. Occasional small marks/spots of foxing to pages. Small creases to a few pages. No other faults. All books described honestly and accurately.
