Paul Curtis was one of the first ?modern day? gun writers, and enjoyed significant influence within the shooting industry in the first half of the 20th century. He served as the shooting editor of Field and Stream from 1919 to 1934, and was a champion of and self-proclaimed "father of the riflescope".
