Its originality is conveyed by the effort to circumscribe the cultural identity of Enlightenment England by means of wo/man's relationship with, and positioning within, the complex network of social organization, cultural production, spatiotemporal frames, or discursive practices. The examination is particularly useful to professionals in the fields of literature, culture and anthropology, or to advanced undergraduate and postgraduate students.
