Umscjlag defekt. - Das Buch, das Croy da geschrieben hat, ist für Leute bestimmt, die in irgendeiner Fasson mit Drucksachen zu tun haben: für den Firmenchef, der sich unbedarft fühlt, wenn ihm seine Werber irgendwelche Fachausdrücke um die Ohren schlagen, oder für den Mann, der wie die Jungfrau zum Kinde zu der Aufgabe kam, mit Druckaufträgen, Werbeaufträgen überhaupt mit der Schwarzen Kunst umgehen zu müssen. Man braucht sich auf keinen blauen Rauch mehr zu verlassen, hier kann man von Fall zu Fall schnell mal nachlesen, was es mit all diesen Rauchen auf sich hat. Gewiß, der Fachmann kann vielleicht sagen, daß man aus jedem Kapitel gut und gern hätte ein Buch machen müssen. Hätte ich dies Buch zu schreiben gehabt, hätte ich aber vieles sogar noch fortgelassen da kann man also lang darüber streiten. Aber: was darinsteht, ist gut, und es steht so darin, daß man im Eiltempo diagonal lesen kann, ohne das jeweils gerade Wichtige dabei zu übersehen. So ist das Buch ein ausgesprochen guter Spicker geworden, aus dem man sich zuverlässig orientieren kann und aus dem man vor allem sehen kann, wo das nicht abspickbare Können des tatsächlichen (!) Fachmannes anfängt. Mit daraus gewonnener Kenntnis vermag man dann auch zwischen Fachmännern und anderen Fachmännern zu unterscheiden. Und platzt einem mal der Kragen, sagt man in höchster Not: Jetzt mach ich meinen Dreck selber" dann kommt man damit auch sehr weit! Buch für die Handbibliothek. Wenn Sie Chef sind, kann Ihnen die Lektüre auf keinen Fall schaden, nachher gehört es aber auf den Tisch dessen, der Ihre Werbung (im weitesten Sinne) macht. Scope-Journal. First editions, of this complete run of the first 10 years of The Westerners Brand Book quarterly which included articles and memoirs by some of the most significant Western historians of the 19th & 20th Centuries. Articles ranged in topics from the Hudson's Bay Company fur traders to Western Knives, along with outlaws, gunfighters, pioneering families, and Western artists.
