This is a sample copy of the 500+ page volume, designed for selling memberships in the International Institute, Department of Domestic Science. It includes a special section for "organizers," detailing sales techniques, sample pages and color illustrations from the actual book, and examples of queries generated by members and the Institute's responses. For a $2.00 membership fee, one received the cook book "free of charge" and a one-year membership that provided a consulting service to answer any domestic questions one might have. It includes chapters on Entertaining, Paper-bag Cookery, Casserole Cookery, Fireless Cookery, Chafing-dish Cookery, and Meat Substitutes. It is illustrated in color and b/w and has many blank pages for adding notes and other recipes. The condition is very good. All the pages, with the exception of the ffl, are clean and free of all marks, tears and folds. The ffl has a recipe for chili written in pencil. The brown cloth cover appears to be textured and has dark brown scrolling around the edges of the front and spine and has the title and author stamped on front and spine. It shows slight wear along the edges of the spine and edges of the boards. The binding is tight.…
