Vol. II contains a Preface, the Last Essays of Elia which end at page 216. Followed by the Eliana to the end of the work at page 435. Eliana includes: Elia on His "Confessions of a Drunkard" and Cupid's Revenge. Period Half-Vellum Bindings with Brown Marbled paper-covered boards. Gilt Titles and Vol. Nos. on Brown leather labels on spines, and Gilt Foliate Decoration. Marbled Endpapers. Top page edges Gilt. 5 1/2" Tall. A little darkening to the vellum on spines. Volume One contains two extra title pages, one richly illustrated with steel engravings and the second printed in red and black. All three volumes uniformly bound: half bound in tan leather over textured green cloth boards, gilt titles red leather spine labels, five raised bands to spine. All edges gilt. Pink patterned endpapers. Large and heavy 4tos. Boards are rubbed all round edges, leather scuffed and cracked along spine joints, heavily rubbed at spine heads. Hinges cracked.
