Hardcover. Condition: New. Performing and visual artist Ben Patterson (born 1934) was a founding member of Fluxus' participatory, do-it-yourself, anticommercialist avant-garde network. While many Fluxus artists, influenced by John Cage's precedent, employed conceptual techniques borrowed from music (e.g., the event score), Patterson's fusion of art and music was informed by his background as a classically trained double-bassist. His "Variations for Double Bass" (1960), for example, was played with the titular instrument balanced upside down on its scroll. Published for a retrospective at the Contemporary Arts Museum Houston, this volume includes an anthology of Patterson's scores, edited by Fluxus scholar Jon Hendricks; a chronology of the artist's life and work; a CD compilation of his musical performances from 1961 to 2009, produced by Alga Marghen; and essays by a variety of scholars, assessing the career of one of Fluxus' foremost and wittiest artists.…

Couverture souple. Condition: Très bon. Edition originale. Paris , Cahiers du Centre Pierre francastel , 2005. 1 Volume/1. -- Comme Neuf -- Broché collé. Format 25,8 x 18,3 cm ( 450 gr ). Textes de : Marcel Alocco, Michel Asso, Julien Blaine , Bertrand Clavez , Michel Collet, Jacques Donguy,Charles Dreyfus, Jean Dupuy, Nicolas Feuillie, Ken Friedman, Michel Giroud, Alexandra K niger et Caroline Tron, Arnaud Labelle-Rojoux, Jean-Clarence Lambert, Jean-Claude Moineau, Sylvie Mokhtari, Ben Patterson, Ben Vautier, Emmett Williams.

Contributions de E Il Topo, Atelier de grève Rennais, André Balthazar, Alain Bernardini, Marie Boivent, Marie-Hélène Breuil, Denis Briand, Leszek Brogowski, Philippe Cazal, Bertrand Clavez, Jil Daniel, Herman de Vries, Bruno Di Rosa, Peter Downsbrough, Ernest T., Joseph Ernst, Ian Hamilton Finlay, Fred Forest, Brad Freeman, Fucking Good Art, Antonio Gallego, Nicolas Giraud, Noreen Graham, Ben Kinmont, Pascal Le Coq, Lefevre Jean Claude, Stéphane Le Mercier, Laurent Marissal, Roberto Martinez, Anne Moeglin-Delcroix, Jean-Claude Moineau, Maurizio Nannucci, Aurélie Noury, Ben Patterson, Alistair Peebles, Michael Phillips, Michalis Pichler, Benoît Police, Hubert Renard, Dieter Roth, Claude Rutault, Tom Sowden, Taroop & Glabel, Mathieu Tremblin, Christophe Viart, Bernard Villers, Jan Voss, Éric Watier.…
