(Wie im Französischen "ouest" = West). + Mit einer farbigen Karte (auf dem Nachsatz, praktisch) von Julio Pestano, das atlantische Meer unten mit dem angrenzenden Hafen und Hafenviertel, Hügel und Berge oben, in der Mitte die Burg bzw. Festung genau über dem Hafen, von wo aus man bestimmt den Bereich auf dem Wasser vor dem "Hafen des Kreuzes von Teneriffa" beherrschte/ mit Kanonen beschießen konnte. Gebundenes Buch mit nur geringen Spuren unten und oben am Rücken, ein gutes Indiz, da es doch von der Benutzung und damit seiner Nützlichkeit zeugt. das Buch will "nicht nur ein Photoalbum" sein, sondern "darüber hinaus auch als HISTORISCHE EINFÜHRUNG UND ALS FÜHRER dienen." Dies verrät der Verfasser in seiner Vorrede (Vorwort) auf Seite 5. Der Band ist gegliedert in einem Textteil vorn mit einen BIBLIOGRAPHIE (auf/ bis Seite 59), dann einem mehrseitigen Verzeichnis der Abbildungen, dem sich die 91 farbigen Fotos anschließen. Zu sehen sind u.a. ein altes Pulverlager, die Festung von San Felipe, (des heiligen Philipp), gerduckt bei Litografie Romero S.A., Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Spanien. Det TEXTTEIL ist dabei Richtung Schnitt, also jeweils links und rechts außen, SEHR ANSPRECHEND von monochromen (schwarz-weißen) Zeichnungen eingefasst, für die wieder Julio Pestano verantwortlich zeichnet. Der Umschlag, der die hässlichen Hochhäuser, auf die man in den Sechziger und Siebziger Jahren stolz war, zeigt und hinten die deutsche Flagge, ist eingerissen (Randläs.) bei nur sehr geringen Verlusten im Bereich des Himmels und der deutschen Fahne bzw. Flagge (hinten). - Vielleicht kann man bei den Abbildungen Nummer 9-11 (Das Schwimmbad von San Telmo) sich oder seine Verwandten oder Bekannten wiederentdecken.- Ein Buch, das im Ausland auf deutsch erschien.
