A theological encyclopedia calls Chytraeus "The last of the 'Fathers of the Lutheran Church'" & says it "was the first special work on a part of this period based on original sources." This edition was printed in the year of the 50th anniversary of the Augsburg Confession. Rare. Several copies of this edition in world libraries.
