Taschenbuch. Condition: Neu. This item is printed on demand - it takes 3-4 days longer - Neuware -The study entitled 'Effects of growth regulators on in vitro multiplication of Bacopa monnieri' was carried at Centre for Pant Biotechnology (CPB). The results obtained are summarized below: - The optimum time period of sterilization with no contamination and 100% survival for shoot tips is two minutes using 0.1% HgCl2. - The zero contamination with maximum survival rate was obtained when nodal segments were treated with 0.1 % mercuric chloride for three minutes. - Maximum regeneration in shoot tips and nodal segment was observed at minimum concentration (0. 25 mg/l) of auxins i.e. IBA and NAA. - The optimum concentration of IBA and NAA is 0.25 mg/l for each. - BAP and Kinetin were used alone maximum numbers of shoots were formed at the concentration of 1.0 mg/l. - Both the cytokinins (BAP and Kinetin) were used in combination the best results were obtained in BAP (1.0 mg/l) + Kinetin (0.2 mg/l) followed by BAP (0.2 mg/l) + Kinetin (1.0 mg/l). - Lower concentrations (1.0 & 0.2 mg/l) of cytokinins (BAP and Kinetin) either used alone or in combination shows good results. 56 pp. Englisch.…

Taschenbuch. Condition: Neu. This item is printed on demand - it takes 3-4 days longer - Neuware -The present investigation entitled, ¿Micropropagation and assessment of genetic diversity in different cultivars of banana using PCR based technology¿ was conducted at the Centre for Plant Biotechnology (CPB), CCS Haryana Agricultural University campus, with the objectives to improve in vitro multiplication rate of banana, to study the genetic diversity of all cultivated banana available throughout Haryana and to study the genetic fidelity of in vitro raised banana cultivars in comparison to their mother plant. Two cultivars viz. ¿Robustä and ¿Grand naine¿ were selected to study the in vitro multiplication of banana. the present investigation was planned with the following objectives: I. To develop efficient micropropagation protocols of two banana cultivars i. e. Robusta and G-9 and to examine the effect of newer chemicals and growth substances on micropropagation of banana. II. Assess the genetic diversity amongst various banana cultivars using molecular markers. III. To test the genetic fidelity of tissue culture raised plants. 152 pp. Englisch.…
