Paperback. Condition: New. Print on Demand. This book explores the Fountain of Philosophy, an obscure poem attributed to an equally obscure twelfth-century poet, Godefroi. The author reconstructs the poemâs possible development, revealing the influence of earlier works and thinkers, as well as its significance to the study of medieval European thought. The book delves into the poemâs philosophical and scientific concepts, examining its treatment of the trivium and quadrivium, and its discussion of Aristotle, Plato, and other ancient thinkers. Through meticulous analysis, the author uncovers the poem's valuable insights into the complex interplay of ideas in the Middle Ages. Offering a fresh perspective on this understudied work, the book enhances our understanding of the intellectual currents that shaped medieval thought. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.…

Add to basketsoft cover. Condition: good. second edition.

Add to basketLivre broché. Condition: Etat moyen. ».…
