Taschenbuch. Condition: Neu. Neuware - 'Scottish Sermons and Addresses' is a profound collection of theological reflections and public orations by Charles L. Warr, a distinguished voice in the Church of Scotland during the early twentieth century. This work captures the spiritual and moral landscape of the era, offering deep insights into the tenets of Presbyterian faith and the role of the church in national life.Through a series of meticulously crafted sermons, Warr explores universal themes of faith, sacrifice, and the enduring relevance of Christian doctrine in a rapidly changing world. The addresses included in this volume extend beyond the pulpit, touching upon historical commemorations and the collective identity of the Scottish people. Warr's prose is characterized by its eloquence and intellectual rigor, making this collection a significant contribution to Scottish homiletics. It serves as an essential resource for those interested in the history of the Church of Scotland, the art of preaching, and the intersection of faith and society. Paperback. Condition: New. Print on Demand. This book presents 12 short stories of soldiers, both actual and fictional, who served in the Great War, emphasizing the futility and heartbreak that war brings. The stories are based on incidents the author claims to have heard while serving on the front lines, some of which involve supernatural events and angelic appearances. The authorâs insights into the mental and emotional state of soldiers on the front lines during World War I make for compelling reading. This collection of stories gives those with no personal connection to such events some glimpse into the realities of men and women during one of the most brutal conflicts in history. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.…
