Included together are a book about the geology of Lehigh and Northampton counties dating to 1883, and a large set of maps, which give a lot of detail about one area in particular (Durham and Reading Hills, subject of 17 maps). Included as well are 6 maps of southern Northampton County, a colored map of both Northampton and Lehigh Counties, and four maps of iron mines in Berks County. Quite a bit of information is given about the area on the border of Lehigh and Berks Counites, although Berks is omitted from the title of the book. The maps appear to be in excellent condition (I'm reluctant to unfold them, but eveything looks sound) , although the portfolio they are contained in is shaky. The portfolio is ex-library, but the book is not. The book is sound and clean, although homely in appearance. It is bound in no-nonsense buckram, and no titles are visible.
