Author ascertained using JISC from a copy held at the University of St. Andrews In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, a little worn. Rubbed to the boards and the spine with a couple of tears in the cloth to the rear joint, and one large tear in the cloth to the front joint. Bumped to the tail of the spine with a couple of closed tears, whereas the cloth flaps to the head of the spine. Front and rear hinge starting. Internally, generally firmly bound. The front endpaper and frontispiece are disbound but present, and the gutter is visible between pages 112 and 113, 128 and 129, and 144 to 145. Heavily foxed to the frontispiece and half title, but pages are generally bright and clean otherwise, with some moderate foxing to the plates and their surrounding pages. Good. book.
