Taschenbuch. Condition: Neu. This item is printed on demand - it takes 3-4 days longer - Neuware -'The hydrodynamic study of a chemical reactor for polymerization with applications in the preceramic polymer technology' book has as primary purpose: the hydrodynamics modeling and optimization of the mechanical mixing process in a…chemical reactor. The analysis of the novel materials formulated in the Multimaterials and Interfaces Laboratory, UCBL1 reveal the great importance for spinning quality of the polymers homogeneity during the process developed in the chemical reactor. Therefore, the main objective of the hydrodynamic study was established accordingly: to improve the flow mixing within the stirred vessel of the reactor in order to increase the homogeneity degree of the final PDCs product. The achievement of high degree of homogeneity within the flow domain implies to orientate the study on two directions: i) the reconfiguration of the reactor chamber by inserting additional static elements which improve the mixing process; ii) the design of new impellers with optimized hydrodynamic profiles. In both cases, a yield study for evaluating not only the mixing degree, but also the energy consumption and efficiency of each proposed configuration is recommended. 184 pp. Englisch.
