Condition: Poor. in-folio, pp. (44), 280, (12), caratteri corsivo e romano, stemma della città sul frontespizio e del marchese Alfonso Felice d'Avalos, signore di Casalmaggiore al verso dello stesso (frontespizio in antico fac-simile). Legatura coeva in pergamena rigida con grandi nervi, titolo manoscritto al dorso e al taglio inferiore, tracce di bindelle (macchie e difetti della pergamena a tagli e cerniere, piccola spaccatura al piatto anteriore). Si tratta dell'edizione del 1590 (In Casalemaiori, apud Antonium Guerinum, & socium, 1590) con frontespizio diverso e l'aggiunta dei due fascicoli in principio (***6 e ??),contenti la sentenza arbitrale del Marchese del Vasto.  "Questo codice rimase manoscritto per molto tempo finattantoché se ne fece un'edizione per la prima volta nel 1590, che fu ripetuta nel 1592 ". (Cfr. Storia di Casalmaggiore vol 10 p. 28). Non comune. Bell'esemplare, marginoso e fresco (salvo lieve alone d'umido margine su pochi fogli in fine), con frontespizio in antico fac-simile.   . Car. corsivo per l'indice ed i titoli, tondo per il testo degli statuti che sono quelli del 1424, già impressi nel 1590. ĞIn fine sono aggiunti vari docc. datati dal 1523 al 1716, che riguardano l'osservanza degli statuti, i notari, i decurioni, la riforma del consiglio comunale, le sentenze, i notari criminali, la giurisdizione degli officiali delle strade, le cavalcate dei giudici, le gravezze dei contadini. Circa la mutilazione del vol., comune a quasi tutti gli esemplari di questa edizione, Giovanni Romani, Storia di Casalmaggiore, p. 178, ne dà ragione narrando come alcuni decurioni di Casalmaggiore mal soffrendo che nell'Epistola di Francesco Arisi premessa agli statuti, non si menzionassero le loro famiglie fra quelle nobili della città, fecero sopprimere, in tutti gli esemplari che trovarono, la detta Epistolağ (cfr.
