Chargé de la transformation de l'ancien Trocadéro de Davioud pour l'Exposition Internationale de Paris de 1937 (avec Louis-Hippolyte Boileau et Léon Azéma), Carlu s'occupera des transformations et aménagements successifs du Palais de Chaillot et de la place du Trocadéro (en 1948, pour accueillir la 3e Assemblée générale de l'ONU ; en 1951 avec la construction des bâtiments provisoires pour la 6e session de l'ONU et enfin pour accueillir le siège de l'OTAN (1952-1959)). Ces bâtiments seront finalement détruits au début des années 60.…
