Title page printed red and black with vignette of do…lls, 23 very pretty colour plates, a few black and white vignettes on reverse of plates. Wonderful story: a little girl changes places with her doll and is not always treated as kindly as she would wish. Lots of toys, a large jolly golliwog who sings at the ball and a friendly Dutch doll. Expertly recased, head and tail of spine, spine edges and corners slightly worn, boards faintly foxed. A touch of colour to 2 black and white vignettes, contents otherwise bright and clean. A very good copy of a delightful Rosa Petherick book.
