"Nero cellotex" is… a cycle of 10 paintings by Italian matterist painter Alberto Burri, which he considered "among the most important testimonies to his artistic will". Cellotex, a "poor, indestructible" material consisting of glue and particleboard, was essential to postwar building reconstruction. The painting cycle sees Burri's most elemental use of this material. Near indiscernible shelfwear to book, pages bright and crisp. Scarce edition in excellent condition.
