Testatine e capilettera ornati in tecnica xilografica. Antico ex-libris manoscritto al margine superiore del frontespizio. Esemplare assai bello con qualche usuale e leggera brunitura. Seconda edizione, posteriore di due anni alla prima, di questa summa della storia svedese pubblicata con tipi elzeviriani; la prima parte, "geographica et politica descriptio", è composta da Andreas Bureus (1571-1646), mentre le restanti sono dovute alla penna di Henrik Soter (XVI-XVII secolo). Collijn, col. 900. 24mo (115x61mm), pp. (6), 306, (1), contemporary binding in full vellum with squares and anciently handwritten title on the upper spine-end. Figurated title-page engraved on copper with a portrait of a swedish king crowned by angels, allegorical figures, etc. Some customary foxing. A very good copy. Second edition - the first edition was printed two years before - of this summary of the history of Sweden printed by the Elzeviers. The first part, "Geographica et politica descriptio", was written by Andreas Bureus (1571-1646), while the other parts were composed by Henrik Soter (XVI-XVIIth Century).

These publications , in Latin, gave extensive historical, political and geographical information and could even serve as a travel guide.
