Original 121 page shooting script for the classic comedy film, High Anxiety, written and directed by Mel Brooks, starring Mel Brooks, Madeline Kahn, Cloris Leachman, and Harvey Korman. Bradbound in printed studio wrappers. Near fine copy with a touch of wear to the covers. The front cover has a photograph of Brooks in character as Dr. Richard Thorndyke, the head of a psychiatric facility for the Òvery, very nervous,Ó where he discovers some suspicious goings-on. When he's framed for murder, Dr. Thorndyke must confront his own psychiatric condition, "high anxiety," in order to clear his name. An homage to the films of Alfred Hitchcock, with parodies of famous Hitchcock scenes from The Birds, Psycho, and Vertigo. High Anxiety was nominated for a Golden Globe. Included is a copy of Millimeter Magazine, December, 1977, featuring a cover article about the making of High Anxiety in which he discusses how closely he worked with Alfred Hitchcock during its production.
