This is a nice original Election Ballot Paper for a Bridgnorth Council Election held on November 1st 1843, the ballot paper is filled in and signed by a Thomas Wallater of Friar's Lane in the Parish of St. Leonard's. One of the people who was standing for election was the local printer Thomas Edkins who may well have also printed this ballot paper. The paper measures 19cm by 15 cm approx., CONDITION Some staining at top corners, central fold lines and a pin hole from where it had been place on a paper spike. The poster measures 22 inches by 8.5 inches approx. CONDITON The poster is sadly trimmed at edges with loss along top edges and left-hand edge, otherwise condition is as seen.
