In fine, unread condition and housed in a fine jacket showing the lightest of edge wear to edges Contents: Journal 1: Juan Francisco de la Bodega y Quadra (1775): Documents a perilous Spanish naval expedition sent from Mexico to explore the Pacific Northwest Coast of America.; Journal 2: Commander Pringle Stokes (1827): Details a grueling detached hydrographic survey operation in the western part of the Straits of Magellan aboard the HMS Beagle. Journal 3: Midshipman Joseph Henry Kay (1828-1831): Captures a young officer's perspective during the scientific and exploratory voyage of the HMS Chanticleer to the South Atlantic and the fringes of Antarctica.
