Series of love letters accompanied by 0ver 30 full page b/w illustrations.Author and illustrator were in the American Expeditionary force in France and relayed to Mable peerplexities, amusements, etc. in a genuine humorous manner. Pages yellowed; moderate page wear; no markings on pages; Inner spine crease is weakened but pages intact. Beige hard cover with red lettering and illustration of soldier writing a letter on front cover. Page edges frayed in places; corners worn and bumped. Bottom 2 inches of spine are torn away from the inner cloth. Some discoloration on top and bottom edges of cover. Dust jacket is itendical to cover illustration; dj fragile; torn in several places along edges, flap creases and spine. Faded and soiled areas. Rare vintage book of WW1 era.
