Hardback, 240mm x 152mm blue cloth boards, gilt titles, , xiv prelims, 291+128pp. plus index, plus advertisments, Black and white illustrations. Photographic illustrations. Fair/NoWrapper. Book has been well read but still sturdy and tight. Spine has a 2cm tear at top by rear, differential fading to endpapers, block edges grubby from handling, pages and plates clean overall. English translation of Blum's weighty French-language history of art, latterly edited and enlarged by Tatlock. No date or edition stated but Preface is dated 1926 which is likely year of publication also. Illustrated with 128 pages of plates. Catalogue: Art. In very good condition with good dustwrapper (DW spine darkened and chipped at ends. Some fading to edges. Not price clipped.) Cloth clean and bright. Some minor tanning and light foxing to endpapers. Neat inscription to front. Pages and plates all very clean and tight throughout. Else a very good clean and tight copy. 291pp + 32pp cat. Illustrated with 128 B&W plates (mostly 2 illustrations per plate) and over 80 B&W figures in text.
