Hardcover. Condition: Good. No Jacket. 1st ed. 500pp. Illus plates & diagrams. Very detailed book on an essential aspect of ship safety. Although obviously still as important today the contents of the book were especially significant at the time of writing due to a number of major disasters, most significantly the sinking of "Ti…tanic", a tragedy made worse by the shortage of lifeboats. A decent enough copy of this important work. The boards are a little rubbed & stained. The binding is a little strained at the front joint but generally v. clean internally.
