Prof. Dr. Onur Bilge Kula 1954 yilinda Kayseri 'de dogdu, liseyi ayni kentte bitirdi. 1972-74 yillari arasinda Berlin Teknik Universitesi'nde maden muhendisligi ogrenimi gordu, ogrenimini yarida birakip Turkiye'ye dondu. 1974-78 arasinda Ankara Universitesi DTCF'nde Alman Dili ve Edebiyati bolumunu bitirdi. 1979-83 arasinda Berlin Ozgur Universitesi'nde Kulturlerarasi Egitim bolumunu bitirip ayni bolumde "Almanya'da Turk Gocmen Isci Kulturunun Egitsel Islevi" konusundaki doktora calismasini 1986'da tamamladi. 1986-93 yillari arasinda Cukurova Universitesi Egitim Fakultesi'nde gorev yapti. 1993'te yeni kurulan Mersin Universitesi Fen-Edebiyat Fakultesi'nde profesor oldu. 1993-2000 yillari arasinda ayni fakultenin kurucu dekanligi gorevini yuruttu. 2003'ten bu yana Hacettepe Universitesi Edebiyat Fakultesi Alman Dili ve Edebiyati bolumunde gorev yapmaktadir.
