Hard brown leather boards with some rubbing/chipping to edges/spine, a little splitting to spine edges, minor loss to top of spine, minor scuffing. Contents clean and tight but for very minor soiling/browning. B&W engraving at title page. A treatise on spreading the word of God and the principles of Christianity. Includes a fold-out chart illustrating the progress of Christianity around the world, as opposed to 'Mahomedanism' and paganism. Very scarce in this edition. Bickersteth (1786-1850) was an English evangelical clergyman who wrote a number of religious treatise.
