stiff paper wrappers. Wulfschmidt, Jacob Pontus von (illustrator). 4to. stiff paper wrappers. 121, (3) pages. Detailed bibliographical account of the works of Jacob Pontus von Wulfschmidt. His works describe "various kinds of tools and gear for farming, cattle-raising, hunting and fishing, and contain explanatory illustrations." Eight editions were published between the years 1771-1783, of which only three were professionally printed. The others were printed by the author himself and three of those were printed with moveable types made of wood. "It was surely entirely unique for this method to be employed at the end of the 18th century." - (Summary). Includes a frontispiece and 22 plates (21 coloured). Largely unopened. Wrappers soiled, some chipping to the edges and spine ends.
