Moore. Contains a frontispiece of Osbourne, as well as four plates, including a folding plate showcasing Osbourne's handwriting. Collated complete (Clarendon Press, 1928).- The first edition of the English Books and Readers: 1475-1557, Being a Study in the History of the Book Trade from Caxton to the Incorporation of the Stationers' Company, written by H.S. Bennett. (Cambridge University Press, 1952).- A scarce reprint of Geoffrey Chaucer: Lectures Delivered in 1932 on the William J. Cooper Foundation in Swarthmore College, written by John Livingston Lowes. (Clarendon Press, 1956, first published in 1934). In the publisher's original cloth, in the original dust wrappers. Externally, smart, with the odd small mark to top edge of Osbourne, and a couple of small marks to English Books and Chaucer. Minor edgewear, with small knocks to the heads and tails of the spines, and to the extremities. Dirt trapped to joints of Chaucer and fading to spine of English Books. Scattered spotting to English Books wrapper, with the odd browning patch to Chaucer. Fading to wrapper of Osbourne and to wrapper spine of Chaucer. Slight edgewear to wrappers, with a couple of small closed tears to heads and tails of wrapper spines, and to extremities of English books. Small closed tear to bottom edge of Chaucer and slight signs of worming to rear fly leaf joint of Osbourne. End papers of English Books are bright and clean, with slight offsetting to end paper hinges of Osbourne and Chaucer with the odd spot. Previous owner's ink inscription to front free end paper of Osbourne. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Very Good Indeed. Unknown (illustrator). book.
