Hardcover. Condition: Near fine. A two-volume collection of work by Peter Beard. Volume I (576 pages) reproduces collages of found objects, photographs, Beard's writings, ink, and paint. Volume II (168 pages) is devoted to an illustrated interview with Beard conducted by Steven M.L. Aronson (text in English and French and German translation); a facsimile reprint of Beard's handwritten 1993 essay from the first issue of Blind Spot; personal photos and early work by the artist; image index with captions for all works from Vol. 1; bibliography, filmography, and exhibition history. Edited by Nejma Beard and David Fahey; designed by Ruth Ansel. 9 by 13 by 3 inches. Volumes bound in red cloth with gilt decorations, housed in the publisher's photo-illustrated cloth slipcase. Issued without dust jackets. A large, heavy set. First edition (first printing). A near fine set (slightly bumped at the spine ends) in a slipcase with a few spots and a bit of scuffing.
