Roger Bastable had lectured and broadcast on Crawley's history for over twenty-three years. He was chairman of the Crawley Museum Society and wrote regularly for the local press. The book has been read, but is in excellent condition. Pages are intact and not marred by notes or highlighting. The spine remains undamaged.
