The Dublin Street Baptist Church, Edinburgh, was founded in 1858, by the expanding congregation of Baptists in Elder Street. They had to close and demolish the Dublin Street property in 1987 due to structural problems, with the congregation moving to a former school in Canonmills, which became Canonmills Baptist Church. This book provides a brief history of the first 100 years of the Church, and includes chapters on its building and construction, ministers, Sunday School, and the Canonmills Mission. The book is bound in the blue cloth covered boards with gold titling on the front board. The case of the book is in very good condition with light shelf wear to the boards and a small mark on the rear board. The contents are tight and clean. Taped onto the front free endpaper is a typed note about the first meeting of the Young Members' Group which took place on October 23rd 1965, and those present have signed the front fixed endpaper. Taped on the rear fixed endpaper is a sheet containing specifications of the church organ, built in 1899 and rebuilt in 1957.…
