Hard Cover. Condition: Good. No Jacket. Illustrated (illustrator). Ayer's American Almanac combines data for the year 1882 (moon phases, sunrise/sunset tables, etc.) with jokes and witticisms, alongside advertisements for Ayer's various commercial products, medicines, ointments, tonics and so on. The soft covers are heavily decorated with handwritten sums, and several pages are creased and dog-eared, but the text is legible and all pages are present. Small illustrations appear throughout, advertising products such as Ayer's Sarsaparilla or highlighting the stories of satisfied customers whose vigor was restored by an Ayers tonic. 36 pages, approx. 5"x7".
