A genre of color plate book popular in the early 19th century that Vidal updated and made his own. 8vo. 24 by 18 cm. 132 pp. 30 hand-colored plates. Plates, though printed, look as if they were original watercolors. The full morocco binding, with Art Nouveau ornamentation, was done by a G. Champs. Its beauty is commensurate with the book's contents. A beautiful, clean copy.
