Paperback. Condition: New. Print on Demand. This book provides a comprehensive analysis of the Fahrs, an architectural family from Renaissance Italy who left their indelible mark on the development of Swedish, Moravian and Silesian architecture. The Fahrs were part of a wave of Italian artisans who brought their expertise to northern Europe during the 16th century, helping to shape the cultural landscape in the process. Their impact on the era's architecture is evident in prominent structures like the Kalmar Castle in Sweden and the Brieg Castle in Silesia. The book explores the Fahrs' design principles and artistic influences, revealing their blend of Italian Renaissance aesthetics with local traditions. Through their work, the Fahrs not only introduced new architectural forms and techniques to these regions but also played a pivotal role in disseminating the Renaissance style and its humanistic ideals outside of Italy. Their legacy continues to inspire and inform our understanding of this transformative period in European art and architecture. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.…
