Vivian Smith" is a halftone portrait in text and should not have been included in the list of Photogravures, it is not included in the list of other illustrations, xiv plus 522 pages. Published by Faber and Faber in 1931, this is the first hardback printing of B.F.C.Atkinson's THE GREEK LANGUAGE. 354 pages, red cloth binding, gilt lettering the book is in good condition with the name of a previous owner (the eminent linguist Rebecca Posner) written in pencil at the front of the book, some pen notes to the rear free end paper and some very light fading to the cloth. The dust jacket consists of the front half only and it has been included.
