In that inscription, Dr. Proetz apparently refers to Dr. Coon's book "The Story of Man," which Dr. Coon had sent to him, according to a 28 Feb. 1955 typescript letter from Dr. Proetz to Dr. Coon, which is laid in loosely at front of this nose book. The signed letter, on Dr. Proetz's stationery, mentions Dr. Coon's interest in the nose and has three paragraphs. Book is musty and has foxing at front and back; top edge has some soil and/or foxing; above the inscription is a stamp indicating that this book was not accessioned by a Harvard University library; binding has light soil and minor wear; tight, text clean. xxiv, 452 p., illustrated.
