Diese unterscheiden sich von Epoche zu Epoche, ebenso wie die daraus resultierenden Schönheitsmodelle. Sie werden auf vielfältige Weise verbreitet, insbesondere über die Medien, die dann eine zentrale Rolle bei der Förderung des 'begehrenswerten Körpers' spielen. Sie sind in unserem Leben allgegenwärtig und bekräftigen und erinnern uns ständig an die festgelegten Normen. Der Druck, den sie auf die Individuen ausüben, steht im Mittelpunkt dieser Untersuchung. Anhand der Aussagen unserer Befragten analysieren wir die Auswirkungen dieser Vorbilder, von den Diskriminierungen, die sie hervorrufen, bis hin zu den Körperpraktiken, die sich aus der Suche nach dem 'perfekten Körper' ergeben.
