L'"operazione militare speciale" che la Federazione Russa ha avviato sul territorio ucraino il 24 febbraio si è subito trasformata in una vera e propria guerra convenzionale, per la pronta reazione dell'esercito ucraino. Ad oggi, non è dato sapere esattamente perché ciò sia avvenuto e se l'aggressione dell'Ucraina non sia invece considerabile come fisiologica conseguenza del trascorso storico e culturale russofono. Vi è infatti chi sostiene che la Russia abbia voluto muovere un attacco all'Occidente o che voglia ricostituire l'Impero Russo degli zar, ma vi è pure chi asserisce che siano gli Stati Uniti a voler muover guerra "per procura" alla Russia attraverso l'Ucraina. Ma più verosimilmente potrebbe trattarsi di una ineluttabile conseguenza dell'imminente implosione connessa alla fine del mondo globalizzato così come l'abbiamo sin qui teorizzato, conosciuto e attuato. Certo, siamo di fronte ad una guerra sui generis, combattuta anche con tutti gli strumenti mediatici: se è sempre esistita la documentazione di guerra, assistiamo oggi a una pervasività quasi voyeuristica. Altrettanto irrituali, destabilizzanti e plateali, se non irresponsabili, sono le esternazioni di vertici di istituzioni internazionali e di capi di Stato e di Governo, cointeressati, degli opposti schieramenti. Ad oggi questa guerra ha visto giungere nelle librerie oltre un centinaio di titoli che veicolano pensieri, esperienze e valutazioni di una moltitudine di soggetti i quali non sempre, tuttavia, parlano di ciò che conoscono. È per queste ragioni che si è chiesto a quattro alti ufficiali generali, ora in congedo, di scrivere questo libro. Dei testi scritti dai quattro autori, ciascuno verte su settori di specifica competenza; i singoli contributi rappresentano il pensiero del loro autore e non necessariamente quello dei coautori: ciò contribuisce a fornire al pubblico una lettura multivocale. Reimpressione settecentesca dei principali trattati del noto giurista mantovano (1635-1699). I primi due concernono la giurisdizione in materia di acque, con particolare riferimento a Mantova e al suo territorio, e l'alienazione dei diritti feudali secondo le consuetudini locali; il terzo trattato tratta delle variazioni di valore delle monete con un'appendice (in lingua volgare) di Ordini di Mantova sopra le Monete, che includono le tariffe delle monete circolanti nel Ducato. In fine figurano le decisioni della Sacra Rota. La prima edizione della raccolta era apparsa a Bologna nel 1673 con dedica ad Anna Isabella Gonzaga, duchessa di Mantova. Rotae Romanae decisiones recentissimae et selectissimae) si apre con frontespizio proprio recante una grande marca incisa in legno con il motto ?Quod tibi fieri non vis alteri ne feceris? e in basso il monogramma S.D.T.? Testo stampato su due colonne. Iniziali e fregi xilografici. Fioriture sparse e brunitura uniforme dovuta alla qualità della carta, ma ottima copia genuina. Pergamena rigida coeva, dorso a quattro nervi con titolo manoscritto (piccola mancanza al dorso).Seconda edizione aumentata della seconda parte contenente le decisioni della Sacra Rota.
