Paperback. Condition: New. Print on Demand. This book is a critical examination of the history of French monarchical rule from its origins through the reign of King Charles IX. The author challenges traditional narratives about the French monarchy, arguing that for centuries it was not an absolute monarchy, but rather a polycentric structure of power shared between the king and the aristocracy. The book explores the complex relationship between the monarchy and the French people, and the ways in which the monarchy evolved over time in response to social, political, and economic changes. It also examines the role of the monarchy in French history, and the ways in which it shaped the development of French society and culture. This book is an important contribution to the study of French history, and it provides new insights into the nature of monarchy and its role in shaping the development of French society. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.

Frankfort?: Georg Fickwirt, 1665.
