Diversos marcadores moleculares têm sido descritos para LMA, auxiliando a estratificação dos pacientes em grupos de risco. Recentemente…, mutações em DNMT3A foram identificadas em 22.1% dos pacientes com LMA, estando independentemente associadas com pior prognóstico. Este trabalho teve como objetivo determinar a frequência de mutações no gene DNMT3A e principais translocações cromossômicas em 82 amostras de medula óssea de portadores de LMA atendidos no Hospital de Clínicas de Porto Alegre, Brasil. Como resultado obteve-se uma freqüência de 6% de mutações no gene DNMT3A sendo 3 do tipo R882H. A frequência relativa dos transcritos de fusão oriundos das translocações t(8;21), t(15;17), t(9;11) e inv16, foram respectivamente: 6,1%, 14, 6%, 0% e 2,4%. Em conclusão a descoberta de mutações recorrentes no gene DNMT3A e sua possível implicação prognóstica pode ser um instrumento valioso para a tomada de decisões terapêuticas, sendo este o primeiro estudo sobre a presença de mutações no gene DNMT3A em portadores de LMA no Brasil. 72 pp. Portugiesisch.
