Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. 1st Edition. This 1950 first edition has been signed by the author and by Dixie Orum Stollenwerck, the sister-in-law of the Superintendent of the County schools and was chairman of the Russell County History Commitee who was "the inspiration for the writing of this book". There is some underling and notes by the people written about in this book. This is a real treasure of Russell county history. There is no dust jacket with gold print, but the red (or rust) cover has light bumping at the spine ends and a light scratch across the front cover. There is some underling and notes in the margins from someone who knew the people and events. The book is in very good condition considering its age and readability. Language: eng.
