Beim Genotyp ICCC-34 Kranthi reichte die Anzahl der für die Kallusinduktion erforderlichen Tage von 6,0 bis 10,0 Tagen. Für Hypokotyle wurden durchschnittlich 7,9 Tage und für Blattexplantate 8,2 Tage benötigt. In direkten Regenerationsstudien übertraf eine reife Embryoachse mit einem einzigen Keimblatt die beiden anderen mit der höchsten Sprossinduktionsreaktion (84,17 %), unabhängig vom Medium. TDZ in einer Konzentration von 0,5 mg/l führte nicht nur bei mehr Explantaten zum Austrieb (87,50 %), sondern auch zu den meisten Mehrfachtrieben, die einzeln zu trennen waren.
