This subject was previously studied by multiple scientists, as outlined in the historical survey, using various methods. In this book, the author examines theories of atmospheric radiation and distribution of water vapor and temperature. The author then introduces a new instrument, the pyrgeometer, for measuring atmospheric radiation and presents results from expeditions to Algeria and California. The results show a strong correlation between atmospheric radiation and water vapor content, with an exponential increase in radiation as water vapor increases. The findings indicate that the atmosphere's radiation may be nearly constant at varying temperatures and latitudes, and that large water surfaces emit radiation nearly independent of temperature. These findings provide valuable insights into atmospheric radiation and its effects on heat loss from surfaces, making this book a significant contribution to the field.
