Pistolteatern i Stockholm, grundad av Pi Lind och Staffan Olzon, var i mitten av 1960-talet en ledande experiment-scen jämförbar med Living Theatre i New York. Åren 1964-67 framfördes ett sextiotal teaterpjäser och happenings på Pistolen. I förgrunden verkade den unge filmaren Anders Wahlgren (f. 1946). Han hade en viktig funtion som tekniker men fick ibland också hoppa in som musiker och nakendansare. Wahlgren dokumenterade föreställningarna med sin kamera och skapade unika experimentfilmer tillsammans med Öyvind Fahlström, Åke Hodell och Claes Oldenburg. En åttio minuter lång DVD medföljer denna fotobok med text av Anders Wahlgren.
