Paperback. Condition: New. Print on Demand. This book presents a narrative of Christopher Columbus' first voyage to the Americas in 1492, which marked a pivotal moment in history. Through the eyes of an unnamed narrator, readers witness the trials and tribulations of Columbus and his crew as they embark on a perilous journey across the Atlantic Ocean, seeking a new route to the East Indies. The book delves into the motivations, challenges, and consequences of this groundbreaking expedition, shedding light on the complexities of exploration, cultural encounters, and the pursuit of knowledge in the age of discovery. By weaving together historical accounts with vivid descriptions and insights into the human spirit, the author invites readers to reflect on the transformative power of curiosity, the limits of human knowledge, and the enduring legacy of those who dare to venture into the unknown. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. Condition: Buono (Good). 0. Legatura in cartonato coevo, dorso (rifatto) in pelle moderna. Melzi II, 287. Morazzoni, 246. Fumagalli, Bibl. Colombo, 422. Book.

In Venezia, Appresso Francesco Pitteri, [1759] MDCCLIX, Edizione originale. It is stated that Querini testifies to have acted according to the orders of his government, and as meanwhile he became subject to the Emperor of Austria, the claims on the bills devolved to the Austrian Empire. Armand du Plessis, 5th Duke of Richelieu and Fronsac (1766-1822), is stated already to have recognized the legal rights of this claim of a sum total of 208,000 fl. (including interest), and passed the matter on to the French ambassador in Vienna, Victor de Riquet, Duke of Caraman (1762-1839). Further persons mentioned to have been involved in the matter are François Dewinck, the Venetian count Wiscowich, and Joseph de Salomon, bishop of Ortosia. - With slight brownstainings.
