Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Ten volume set of the works of Poe is bound in green cloth with gold art nouveau tulips on the spines. Illustrated with twelve engraved portraits of the author and his family, twenty suitably creepy engravings by Albert Edward Sterner, three engravings of Poe's homes, and one reproduction of his manuscript for "Marginalia." The boards are worn lightly at the extremities, a few small tears at head/tail of spine, scuffing on the boards, Vol V and VI has a damp stain front and top inside corner of interior, bookplates on inside front covers of famed printer Edward Martin Moore, occasional foxing, mostly on the prelims. Considered to be the finest Poe set, the publisher invested so much money in this elaborate edition that it bankrupted the company. All orders packed with care, most dust jackets protected by Brodart sleeve, independent bookseller since 2011.…
